The story: Pressing On
This piece was born in a season of struggle. My mental health was fragile, and Ever Sage was barely hanging on. I had signed a contract for an event a year earlier but had nothing to show for it. My plan? Use personal funds to create one piece, then disassemble it to reuse the flowers for other sales.
But something unexpected happened. As I placed each bloom, I fell in love with the piece. With every flower I glued down, it felt like an act of surrender—letting go of control, trusting that what I needed would be provided.
When I finished, I knew I couldn’t sell it. No amount of money could match its meaning. So, I kept it.
Weeks later, something miraculous happened. Our new home—one we had moved into during that difficult season—began to bloom. Flowers we hadn’t planted, flowers we didn’t even know were there, filled our garden. My presses overflowed.
Ever Sage is now in full bloom, thriving beyond what I had imagined. And this piece? It reminds me that provision comes when we trust, press on, and let beauty unfold in its time.
